Residential Recycling

Recycling e-waste not only makes environmental sense but economic sense as well.  By recycling electronics you are keeping them out of the landfills and allowing for the proper disposal of electronics that may contain hazardous or toxic substances. Recycling valuable elements and raw materials from end-of-life electronics, or e-cycling, is one of the most effective solutions to the growing e-waste problem.

Most electronic devices contain a variety of materials suitable for recovery and future uses including metals, engineered plastics, glass, and other materials.  By introducing reuse possibilities, natural resources are conserved and the potential air and water pollution caused by hazardous disposal is mitigated. Ultimately, we all need to do our part to keep the environment green by recycling old computers and recycling electronics components.

Depending on where you reside, please be aware that fees may associated with the recycling of certain products.  These fees are required because of the safety and environmental hazards and costs associated with processing, to ensure that all components are recycled and that no devices or components will end up in landfills.  Current fees include:

•    Floor Copy Machines and Floor Printers - $50
•    Desktop Printers - $10
•    CRT monitors - $15
•    CRT TV’s and Projecting TV - $25 ea.

All other accepted materials are recycled for FREE.
